Who is responsible

Your Daily Subtext is run by Rob as a sole trader, and he is responsible for the information described here. His full name and address are on the Legal and contact page. Contact: rob@yourdailysubtext.com.

What is collected

  • Your email address, when you sign up for the emails.
  • Which page you signed up on, and the campaign tags on the link you followed to get here, if there were any.
  • The technical information any website needs to deliver a page, such as an IP address, handled by the company that hosts the site.

This site does not ask for your name, and it does not ask about your finances.

Why, and on what basis

Your email address is used to send you the emails you asked for: one on Sunday and a short one on days such as the Budget and Bank of England decisions. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by signing up. You can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email.

Who handles it

The emails are sent through beehiiv, a newsletter service based in the United States, which stores the mailing list on our behalf. The site is hosted by Cloudflare. We never sell your details or pass them to anyone for their own marketing.

How long it is kept

For as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, the emails stop. You can also ask for your details to be deleted at any time.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If visitor numbers are counted, it is done without cookies and without identifying anyone.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to how it is used. Write to rob@yourdailysubtext.com. If you are unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
